Fever Theater will be attending the SITI Company's Summer Intensive in June!  We are honored to be able to train with the SITI Company, and we will be busy fundraising to make it possible in the next few months.  Keep checking back here for details on our fundraising efforts.

Smiling in the Dark + Alone Together travels to Colorado for 6 shows at the Boulder Fringe--check back for more details.

Smiling in the Dark is the result of months of research into neuroscience and the phenomenon of emergence. A couple sits down to breakfast and discusses, over grapefruit and tea, the mysteries of human relationship. This realistic setting is stretched wide to allow for dance interludes, musical numbers and horse races. The mood shifts between heady conversation, playful games, and delicate romance, allowing ample space for Fever's trademark juxtaposition of the sublime and the ridiculous.

Also showing is a short, one-woman show, Alone Together. The two pieces were created with the same set of rules and research, as part of Fever's ongoing study of Emergent phenomenon.

In Alone Together, a woman sings songs of love and separation, which reveal a sadness that is less an expression of depression or misery than of the depth of the human heart. This musical journey takes place in the hidden vortex of a fancy hotel room, and its cast of characters include Iris, the log that Iris loves, and several howling wolves. Alone Together is a captivating rumination on solitude, compassion and connection, communicated by way of dance numbers, fight scenes, fancy dresses and love songs.
